The Role of ACT
The Association of Cooperation Tetouan (ACT) works as a catalyst for local development in Morocco. By partnering with AHEL, ACT aims to bring world-class community organizing tools to local youth associations, ensuring they have the practical skills to lead impactful field campaigns.
The AHEL Methodology
AHEL utilizes the pedagogy of Marshall Ganz (Harvard University), focusing on five leadership practices: Public Narrative, Relationship Building, Structure, Strategy, and Action. This workshop focuses specifically on building power through field tactics.






Introductions & Team Positioning
Building trust and establishing a shared foundation for the group’s collective work.
Group Agreements
Establishing shared norms and community values for the group.
Presentation of Associations
Sharing information on the three participating associations and their future plans.
Introduction to Community Organizing
Understanding the foundations of grassroots power and collective leadership based on AHEL’s expertise.
Tactics Concept & Selection Criteria
Learning what defines a field tactic and how to choose the most effective ones for our context.
Relationship Building: 1-on-1 Meetings
Practicing the core tactic of building power through individual, intentional connections.
Home Meetings
The concept and practical steps for organizing effective community gatherings in local homes.
Practical Exercise: Modeling Home Meetings
Hands-on group simulation to practice conducting mobilization meetings in a safe environment.
4Cs & Contact Banking
Learning how to manage community data and build a sustainable “Bank of Connections” for mobilization.
Organizational Field Plans
Associations work together to develop a strategic map for their field tactics over the next 2-3 months.
Plan Presentations & Peer Feedback
Sharing group strategies for evaluation and collective learning.
Learning Harvest & Closing
Final evaluation and reflection on the key takeaways from the two-day intensive.
